The Be A Number team met with at-risk youth through the YMCA located in downtown Oakland.

 

The message was to dream big!  We teamed up with the C.H.A.N.C.E. Project and spoke with the kids about individuality and dreaming big.

 

"As we were leaving there was a boy signing up in the lobby to soon join the same group that we had just left.  We walked up to them and asked his mom if it was okay if we could give him a Be A Number shirt.  We described what it meant and told him that he couldn't have it unless he promised to dream as big as he can.  He agreed and took the shirt.  He told us he wanted to "invent things" and that his first invention would be a Hawaiian Punch Water Fountain.  We can't wait."
